Borrowing Policy

Guidelines for circulation and material loans.

To borrow any physical material from the Main Library or College Libraries, you must present a valid, stamped University Library ID Card. No exceptions are made.

Loan Quotas & Durations

Different categories of users have distinct borrowing privileges designed to ensure equitable access to high-demand agricultural texts.

  • Undergraduate Students: Maximum of 2 books for 14 days.
  • Academic Staff: Maximum of 6 books for 30 days.
  • Non-Academic Staff: Maximum of 2 books for 14 days.

Fines & Penalties

Failure to return borrowed materials on or before the due date will attract a fine of ₦50.00 per book, per day. Borrowing privileges will be automatically suspended until all outstanding fines are cleared.

Loss or mutilation of a library book will require the borrower to replace the exact edition of the book AND pay an additional processing fee of ₦5,000.
