Unit Mandate

The Internal Audit Unit operates independently under the Vice-Chancellor's office to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the University. The unit guarantees that public funds and university assets are utilized strictly for their intended purposes.

Core Functions

  • Pre-payment auditing of all university expenditures.
  • Verifying the actual delivery of procured goods and services.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to the Federal Public Procurement Act.
  • Conducting periodic physical verification of university fixed assets.
